An over-zealous attempt by Oommen Chandy's followers to protect the beleaguered Kerala Chief Minister from further controversy ended up with more egg on CM's face.

The leader's faithful morphed the photo of Bashir Haji (man with beard and spectacles) a person convicted in a bounced cheque case and replaced it with the photo of the accompanying police sub-inspector Azad. However, the clumsy cover-up attempt has boomeranged raising the heckles of some people and smiles on others.
